New Deputy General and Director of Human Resources at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Resort&Towers

Sheraton Abu Dhabi Resort & Towers has appointed Klaus Christandl as the new Deputy General Manager and Mahmoud Rida Abulwafa as the new Director of Human Resources.

Klaus who was earlier Deputy General Manager at the Sheraton Dubai Creek brings with him a 16 years of international experience including Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, Germany, the Mandarin Oriental in Macau, the Manderin Oriental in Manila, Philippines. Prior to joining Sheraton in Dubai in 1998, he held the position of F & B Manager at the Phuket Yacht Club Hotel & Beach Resort, Thailand.

Mahmoud who was earlier Deputy Director of Human Resources at Sheraton Doha Hotel & Resort, has 14 years of international experience, of which 5 years he spent with Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.
