French show interest in Korean temple stay program
Monday, May 02, 2005
French people had a high interest in the nation`s temple stay program, according to a recent online survey conducted by the Korean National Tourism Organization (KNTO).

KNTO`s Paris branch said that 79 percent of the 2,300 Frenchmen questioned replied that they would join in the program.

Fifty-one percent said that they would by all means participate in the program which gives those willing to experience the way of life of Buddhist monks the chance to spend time on temple grounds.

Temple stay has become known to French tourists as something unique. We expect such survey showings will motivate the making of tour packages, the KNTO said.
