Northwest offers new flights between Japan and Guam, and Japan and Northern Mariana Islands

Northwest Airlines announced that it will introduce new daily nonstop service between Osaka, Japan and Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, between Osaka and Guam, and between Nagoya, Japan and Guam.

The new service from Osaka, which begins on Oct. 1, 2005, complements existing service from Osaka to three international destinations including nonstop service to Northwest`s WorldGateway hub at Detroit, nonstop service to Honolulu and nonstop service to Taipei, Taiwan.

The new service from Nagoya, which takes effect Nov. 1, 2005, complements existing service from Nagoya to four destinations including Detroit, Manila, Philippines, Saipan and Tokyo. Northwest flights to and from Nagoya are now operating from the new Central Japan International Airport, known as Centrair.

Our new service between Japan and Guam, as well as between Japan and Saipan, demonstrates Northwest`s continuing commitment to meeting the changing travel needs of our valued Asia/Pacific customers, said Laura Liu, vice president of international marketing and sales.
