Al Marjan Island big magnet for real estate developers in the hospitality sector

A recent study conducted by Colliers International said that Ras Al Khaimah can offer competitive and attractive hotel investment returns for Owners/ Developers. It added that in RAK, beach resorts (in particular), have shown high profit conversion when compared to other similar regional markets. It said that there are good levels of profitability, along with more affordable land prices in Ras Al Khaimah which offer hotel investors an opportunity to achieve attractive returns.

DUBAI, UAE – Architect Abdullah Rashed Al Abdouli, Managing Director of Al Marjan Island (AMI) Company said that Ras Al Khaimah has reinforced its position as a premier investment destination in the world thanks to its advanced infrastructure, world-class communications, unique investment environment and competitive return on investment (ROI) that tops the list of ROIs in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

This statement was said in connection with AMI’s, the first man-made island project in Ras Al Khaimah, participation as Platinum Sponsor at the 12th Arabian Hotel Investment Conference, the Middle East’s most important hotel investment event, being held until Thursday, 28th April under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum– Chairman, Dubai Airports; President, Dubai Dept for Civil Aviation; Chairman and CEO, Emirates.

Al Abdouli added that Ras Al Khaimah is gaining further global significance as far as investments, tourism, entertainment and hospitality are concerned as the market of Ras Al Khaimah pays special attention to the upcoming demand drivers, the characteristics of supply, the key performance indicators and the return on investment.

Al Abdouli added: “Ras Al Khaimah adopts a coherent plan to develop mega projects in the housing and hotels sectors to generate more demand to hospitality tourism.”

He said that the Emirate offers ample investment opportunities. At AHIC, he called the international, regional and local private sector to take part in the development of Ras Al Khaimah as part of the emirate’s three year tourism strategy ‘Destination Ras Al Khaimah 2019’. This strategy sets out a new agenda to ensure the long-term success and viability of the hospitality sector according to Al Abdouli.

Al Abdouli added that Ras al Khaimah is predominantly a leisure destination, driven by both the domestic and international markets.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Arabian Peninsula, Al Abdooli said there are various investment plans to be announced in the short-term period, that will further enhance RAK’s position on the regional hotel industry map.
