Courtyard San Diego Sorrento Valley unveils new name, renovations to lobby and meeting spaces

Even with its new name that better reflects the location of the property, the hotel provides the same friendly service and on-site conveniences that guests have come to expect from the Courtyard brand.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Completing a renovation of its spacious lobby and high-tech meeting spaces, Courtyard San Diego Sorrento Valley, formerly Courtyard San Diego Sorrento Mesa/La Jolla, now offers a new level of comfort and convenience to hotel guests.

Even with its new name that better reflects the location of the property, the hotel provides the same friendly service and on-site conveniences that guests have come to expect from the Courtyard brand.

With a price tag of just over $200,000, the renovations have transformed the lobby, restaurant area and meeting rooms into functional spaces to meet the needs of today's traveler. From new furniture and carpet to fresh paint, wall decorations and lighting, the updates create an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to work, relax and recharge without ever leaving the hotel. Ideal for group travel, two renovated event rooms offer space to gather with friends, family or colleagues for fun social or professional celebrations. New on-site catering options will fuel up attendees without the hassle of complicated logistics.

Unique among Sorrento Valley hotels, the Courtyard is home to The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect., open daily for breakfast and dinner. A cornerstone of the sophisticated new lobby, the casual café-style eatery serves healthy and hearty meals, specialty Starbucks beverages and evening cocktails. Between meals, visitors can gather in one of multiple sitting areas with personal televisions, catch the big game in the TV lounge or sip on drinks around the outdoor fire pit. An additional convenience for guests, complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access is available in all guest rooms and public spaces to keep travelers connected 24/7.

To celebrate the renovations and new name, the hotel invites guests to check out the Stay & Play San Diego Package, offering a $100 Visa gift card, complimentary room upgrade and late checkout time.

Positioned just a short drive from the sights and sounds of the California coastline, the hotel is near an array of attractions including beautiful beaches, local breweries, golf courses and family-friendly amusement parks. The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) is just 5 miles away, making it easy to attend alumni events.
