Gant Travel makes Yapta-powered price tracking part of its standard services offering

Innovative travel management firm pioneers unique program model for businesses.

BLOOMINGTON, IND. – Gant Travel, a leading innovator in corporate travel management, announced that Multi-class Fare Monitoring – its airfare price tracking solution powered by Yapta’s FareIQ – will be provided to all accounts as part of its standard services offering. Taking an innovative “program” approach to fare monitoring, Gant Travel is now able to help even the smallest businesses to realize the financial benefits of airfare price monitoring.

“Our unique model for Multi-class Fare Monitoring is structured so that businesses with relatively small travel volumes can still receive the same opportunity to save as Fortune 500 companies,” said Patrick Linnihan, President and CEO of Gant Travel. “By monitoring fares collectively, across our entire customer base, we’ve eliminated any barrier related to individual contracts, and we can now simply offer it as part of our standard services package. The early results of Multi-class Fare Monitoring have been phenomenal, and clients have been very pleasantly surprised at the savings.”

In just the first week of tracking prices in the “void window” – where it’s possible to make ticketing changes without incurring a change fee – Gant Travel customers saw an average realized saving of $183 per re-booking.  And with its program approach to customer implementation, Gant has introduced Multi-class Fare Monitoring to nearly 1,000 clients.

“We’re excited to expand the application of this technology to flights outside of the void window – and to other aspects of business travel that are impacted by dynamic pricing, including Yapta’s RoomIQ product for hotel rate monitoring,” Linnihan said. “With RoomIQ, we’ll be the first travel management company to offer savings to our customers across the entire trip in a program approach. We believe ensuring our clients travel for the lowest cost is critical to being a truly service oriented TMC.”

Companies adopting Yapta’s IQ Technology – FareIQ and RoomIQ – have seen an opportunity to save on more than 11 percent of all itineraries, with an average savings of $369 per trip.  Any savings identified by Yapta on behalf of its customers are over and above any change fees and/or agency re-booking fees, ensuring customers see true value to their bottom line.

“The innovative price tracking program that Gant Travel has developed is a perfect illustration of how a travel management company can work collaboratively with its customers to deliver additional value,” said James Filsinger, President and CEO of Yapta. “We’re excited to work with Gant Travel as an incredibly innovative TMC and appreciate their forward-looking approach to bringing Yapta to market. They’re ahead of the curve.”
