Jon Horne, COO of Stobart Aviation, joins ERA board

Now COO of Stobart Aviation, one of Horne’s main focusses as an ERA board member will be to foster greater understanding and cooperation between ERA’s regional airlines and airports.

ERA announce that Jon Horne, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Stobart Aviation, has been re-elected as a member of its board.

Horne has extensive experience across both regional airport and airline sectors and will further enhance ERA’s experienced and cohesive board. Horne started working in aviation in 1973 as an air traffic control assistant, rising through the ranks to become Chief Executive of Cardiff International Airport, before joining the Stobart Group’s Southend operation in March 2015.

Now COO of Stobart Aviation, one of Horne’s main focusses as an ERA board member will be to foster greater understanding and cooperation between ERA’s regional airlines and airports.

“As a returning board member I know the value and support that ERA provides to its members. I am delighted to rejoin ERA’s board and look forward to working with ERA and its members on the challenges that face the European regional aviation industry,” says Horne. “Working to improve co-operation between airports and airlines to enhance safety, as well as environmental and commercial performance, is in all of our best interests.” 

Simon McNamara, Director General ERA, adds: “Jon Horne’s industry expertise will further enhance what is already an influential and skilled board. The contribution of ERA’s board members is invaluable in a year that is very significant for the European aviation market.”
