Las Vegas named fastest growing long-haul city break destination by Southall Travel

Dubai most popular long haul city break destination overall.

Booking data at long haul travel company Southall Travel has revealed Las Vegas as the fastest growing long haul city break destinations amongst British travellers, with short break bookings to the popular destination in Nevada growing significantly over the past 12 months, up 31% on the previous year.

Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand is the second fastest growing city break destination with bookings up 30% on the previous year with Singapore, the third fast growing destination up 27%.

Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE is now challenging Dubai as a hot spot city break destination for British travellers is the fourth fastest growing city, up 24%.

Mumbai completes the top five list of the fastest growing city break destinations, up 8% on the previous year.

2. Bangkok (+30%)
3. Singapore (+27%)
4. Abu Dhabi (+24%)
5. Mumbai (+8%)

Booking data at Southall Travel also reveals overall, Dubai the most popular long-haul city break destination amongst British holidaymakers. The sun soaked city in the UAE welcomed a record 1.2m British travellers last year and current booking trends suggests 2016 could be another record year.

New York is the second most popular long-haul city break destination followed by the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, home of the incredible Petronas Twin Towers.

Singapore appears once again named the fourth most popular destination followed by the fabulous city of Hong Kong.
