Inside the treatment area, guests will encounter cozy havens equipped to deliver a holistic menu of rituals highlighting L’OCCITANE’s most beloved products and natural ingredients.

NEW YORK – Natural French beauty retailer L'OCCITANE announced that it has opened doors to a new spa at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, combining a luxurious hotel experience with the Provencal art de vivre.

Coined Spa L'OCCITANE by the Bay, the new 6,200 square foot retreat will offer exceptional spa services that combine the brand's authentic ingredients from the South of France with traditional massage therapies. With over 3,000 boutiques and 85 spas worldwide, L'OCCITANE brings a wealth of beauty and spa development expertise to The Ritz-Carlton, and is excited to call San Francisco its newest home.

"We are very pleased to be opening our newest spa at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco," said Maddie Smith, Regional Managing Director of North America. "The luxurious San Francisco property is the perfect place for L'OCCITANE to deliver premium spa services with a touch of Provence."

Created in partnership with Sanghvi Group, which operates L'OCCITANE spas across five hotels in India and now one in the US, Spa L'OCCITANE by the Bay is the first of its kind on the West Coast. Located on the first floor of The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, the new spa welcomes guests into a setting that personifies the brand's spirit and core values: authenticity, sensoriality and respect. Coupling modern elegance and Provencal warmth, the design features a clean, crisp waiting area complemented by scenic portraits, giving guests a glimpse into the natural beauty of the French countryside.

Inside the treatment area, guests will encounter cozy havens equipped to deliver a holistic menu of rituals highlighting L'OCCITANE's most beloved products and natural ingredients – Lavender, Verbena and Immortelle for a true moment of pampering and delight. Staffed by a team of 12 professional therapists, the spa is open daily from 8:00 am through 8:00 pm and offers over 30 unique services to choose from, ranging from aromatherapy massages to anti-aging treatments like the signature Immortelle Divine Secret Facial which combines lifting and contouring massage techniques to help boost youthfulness and rejuvenate skin.

"I am so pleased to lead this project on behalf of L'OCCITANE," said Spa Director Jill Carlen. "Both L'OCCITANE and The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco have an award-winning history of delivering one-of-a-kind experiences with the ultimate in service."

Situated in the scenic neighborhood of Nob Hill, the new spa is not only the perfect sanctuary to rejuvenate after exploring the hilly "City by the Bay," but also one that locals can benefit from. With three world-exclusive treatments, including a jet-lag reviver, micro climate treatment and importantly, tech tension relief, the spa will cater to tourists and local clientele alike.

"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Spa L'Occitane by the Bay to The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco,"  says Bruce Gorelick, General Manager.
