Macdonald Hotels opens first Irish meetings & conference hotel

Macdonald Kinsale Hotel & Spa, near Cork, is preparing to welcome event delegates and businesses travellers from across the world as it unveils its new meeting, team building, and conferencing facilities.

Stunning space
Nestled in 90 acres of wooded parkland, Macdonald Kinsale Hotel & Spa’s Rathmore Suite is set on the ground floor of the luxury 4-star hotel.
 
With capacity from 40 to 300 delegates, the 210m2 space offers superb flexibility in terms of layout options, including theatre, banquet, classroom, U-shape, board, and cabaret. It also offers panoramic views of Oysterhaven Bay which delegates can enjoy from its exclusive private balcony.
 
For visitors coming from the UK, the venue is a 25-minute drive from Cork airport, which offers direct flights from several major cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. For those arriving by train Cork Kent train station is within 30-minutes’ drive, and the hotel has an 85 space free car park.
 
The conference and business facilities at Macdonald Kinsale Hotel & Spa include free Wi-Fi throughout, the latest audio visual equipment including LCD projectors and screens as well as disabled access.
 
Team-building
Macdonald Kinsale Hotel & Spa’s events team is able to create bespoke team-building days for businesses in partnership with local activity specialists the Oysterhaven Activity Centre.  Activities range from small team building events for as few as eight through to the ‘bobsled bonanza’ course building event for up to 100 delegates at a time.
 
Beyond the hotel’s premier meeting and conference facilities, guests have the opportunity to enjoy time for themselves in one of its 20 extra luxurious garden suites which have floor to ceiling views across Oysterhaven Bay, Jacuzzi baths, and private balconies or one of 70 bright and spacious luxury bedrooms.
 
The hotel also has a leisure and wellbeing centre with a luxury spa which offers Irish Ogra peat treatments, floatation beds, a sumptuous relaxation room, and ‘couples suite’. The Rockpool Restaurant & Bar offers delicious, locally sourced Irish food including Kinsale Bay Scallops, braised Irish beef, responsibly sourced wild white wild fish, and a selection of fine Irish Cheese.
