Oceania Cruises announces new business development manager for Spain and Portugal

This all comes at a time when Oceania Cruises is enhancing its overall image within the region, with a Spanish website and collateral being launched and also on-board literature such as menus, daily programmes and in-suite information being translated for Spanish guests.

SOUTHAMPTON – Oceania Cruises welcomes Roberto Cabello to the European sales team, who started 1st April 2016. Cabello will cover Spain and Portugal as business development manager and report to Riet Goestchalckx, Sales Director for mainland EU, ME and Africa.

Cabello started his career in the retail sector with established companies such as Cruiseland before moving to Spanish Cruise GSA, Un Mundo de Cruceros where he held a number of positions, most recently sales director.

During his time at UMDC Cabello developed close ties with key cruise agencies throughout the Iberian Peninsula and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Senior Vice President & Managing Director EMEA, Bernard Carter said “Roberto will immediately become an integral part of the Oceania Cruises team and will be personally responsible for the development of the brand throughout Spain and Portugal – especially as he already knows the brand intimately following his time at Un Mundo de Cruceros”.

This all comes at a time when Oceania Cruises is enhancing its overall image within the region, with a Spanish website and collateral being launched and also on-board literature such as menus, daily programmes and in-suite information being translated for Spanish guests.
