The Lanesborough to open Club & Spa, Spring 2017

LONDON – Following the highly acclaimed re-opening of The Lanesborough in 2015, the Oetker Collection property located at Hyde Park Corner, will launch a new health and wellness facility in spring 2017. The 18,000-square-foot Lanesborough Club & Spa will be London's most exclusive health club – accessible to members and hotel guests only – with a 360 degree approach to wellness. This development marks the next stage of the iconic hotel's evolution.

Guests will be greeted in a traditional lobby, featuring a restaurant with semi-private dining area, flanked by a manicure and pedicure suite and expansive fitness area. The club will include thermal suites, central Spa Treatment Lounges and a series of treatment rooms, as well as a hydropool.

A variety of tailored offerings – fitness, nutrition and spa – will be available to create a comprehensive guest experience, guided by the world's leading brands and experts. Partners include wellness company, Bodysim; prestigious spa and beauty brands, La Prairie and ila; and leading facial innovator, Anastasia Achilleos, The Method.

The facility's design is being undertaken by local design group, 1508 London. In designing the space, 1508 London has respected and re-imagined the classical aesthetic of The Lanesborough, creating a unique character and experience. The outcome is a balanced hybrid of luxury club and lounge, with fitness and spa.

The interiors will be inherently British with classical details, showcasing local materials and craftsmanship throughout. Silk wallpapers, wood panelling and leather upholstering will create an opulent atmosphere, while peacock-blue satins, emerald green silks and bronze trims complement the timeless beauty of oak, marble and stone.
