Travix to integrate amenities and airline rich content from Routehappy Hub

Integration will improve the flight shopping experience for both flyers and airlines by showing relevant features like entertainment and food & beverage offerings in flight results.

NEW YORK – Routehappy, the product differentiation platform for air travel,  announced an agreement with Travix, one of the world's leading online travel companies, which operate in 28 countries with 5 brands including, CheapTickets.nl, BudgetAir.com, Vliegwinkel.nl, Flugladen.de and Vayama.com. Travix will integrate amenities from Routehappy's Scores & Amenities API and airline rich content from Routehappy Hub, into flight shopping results. The integration will allow Travix users in geographies and languages worldwide to see and compare amenities, along with targeted product and fare attribute content by flight, in a standard format called Universal Product Attribute (UPA) and Universal Ticket Attribute (UTA).

Travix is among the first global OTAs to integrate targeted rich content as a standard feature in flight results to improve the shopping experience for both flyers and airlines. Travix expects to launch Routehappy amenities later in Q2, followed by airline rich content UPAs from Routehappy Hub in Q3.

Travix and Routehappy are inviting airlines to participate in the integration, which will allow them to show their unique rich content on all Travix sites via Routehappy Hub at launch later in Q3. Airlines will be able to share comprehensive product content covering their worldwide schedules so users can see relevant features like aircraft, seat, food & beverage and entertainment offerings more directly in their flight results, through descriptive text, icons, photos, 360° virtual tours and videos. This integration comes after recent adoption announcements of Routehappy Hub by United Airlines, Sabre Corporation and Farelogix.

John Mangelaars, Travix CEO said, "We are always thinking about the best ways to innovate and improve flight shopping for our customers and suppliers, so we can provide the best customer experience. Integrating Routehappy amenities and airline UPAs from Routehappy Hub content is a good example of our commitment to innovation. Travix is happy to be one of the leading OTAs to provide flyers with targeted flight information they need to make the best decisions and help airlines merchandise their flights better. The RouteHappy implementation is complimentary to our recently implemented Amadeus Fare Families.  These 2 innovative features will help airlines worldwide to showcase their airline products and services on all of our websites."

"Travix adopting airline rich content from Routehappy Hub is further confirmation of the improving relationship between airlines and distributors and the de-commoditization of flight shopping", said Robert Albert, Routehappy CEO. "The emergence of UPAs as a rich content industry standard is going to increase transparency for flyers and give airlines an opportunity to showcase their product and fare attributes like never before. We are thrilled to see the continued momentum and adoption of Routehappy Hub with Travix and applaud their commitment to improving flight shopping for all."

Routehappy's platform is making the complex task of articulating and finding flight information and attributes easy for airlines and distributors worldwide. Travix will display rich content in multiple languages including Dutch, German and French from launch.
