Uber partners with International SOS and Concur

Innovative partnership with International SOS will help to enhance visibility and Duty of Care for global enterprise companies.

International SOS, the world's leading medical and travel security risk services company, and Uber for Business, the global leader in ground transport solutions, announced a first-of-its-kind partnership to enhance visibility and Duty of Care for global enterprise companies.

Uber will be International SOS' exclusive global ridesharing partner, and shared Uber for Business and International SOS clients will be able to get enhanced Duty of Care features through the International SOS TravelTracker in the coming months.

"Experience shows that many organizations lack a comprehensive approach to managing the Duty of Care associated with ground transportation," said Matt Bradley, Regional Security Director, International SOS and Control Risks.  "We are excited about working with Uber to better reflect ridesharing options in our travel advice and content."

The partnership between Uber for Business and International SOS focuses on the reality that companies often have employees simultaneously traveling in dozens, if not hundreds of cities around the globe. Yet there are gaps when it comes to travel, and companies lack insight as to where employees are between hotel stays and what ground transportation options they are using.

"Uber for Business offers thousands of companies a standard ground transportation option across more than 400 cities around the world, with digital receipts that include trip information," said Max Crowley, Uber for Business Lead. "Integrating our platform with International SOS TravelTracker is a great addition for our enterprise customers' Duty of Care agendas no matter where business travel takes their employees."

Concur and Uber for Business launch exclusive partnership
Concur announced an expansion of its partnership and technology integration with Uber that will be first of its kind. As part of this expanded partnership and integration, Concur customers will be able to realize significant cost savings on their ground transportation and gain visibility into their Uber usage, while at the same time increasing traveler productivity and satisfaction. Concur customers will exclusively have access to the Uber for Business features for free, along with automated employee onboarding, policy controls, savings performance, and trip summary dashboards only available through the powerful combination of the two travel industry innovators.

Together, Concur and Uber will be able to help companies reduce their ground transportation spend by enabling them to more easily use affordable ridesharing options like uberX. Through this exclusive partnership, Concur customers will have access to Uber for Business features for free, and once connected, all business trips taken with Uber will sent to Concur enabling savings insights, policy controls, as well as automated expense report population for travelers, yielding greater traveler productivity and satisfaction.

"Our average enterprise customer expenses almost $1 million in ground transportation annually and about 7 percent of that is with Uber today. By shifting more spend to Uber, these companies stand to save hundreds of thousands of dollars," said Elena Donio, president of Concur. "We've seen almost 230 percent growth in Uber transactions in the past year, and with this integration, we expect to see that growth accelerate as we help companies leverage the benefits of Uber as part of their travel program."

"This strategic partnership will offer enterprise clients seamless access and enhanced reporting for Uber for Business through Concur, providing companies an innovative travel solution that offers unprecedented control, visibility and cost savings in global ground travel," said Emil Michael, Chief Business Officer, Uber. "We are excited to build towards the future of business travel management in partnership with SAP/Concur and to continue to revolutionize the ways people move.

This product integration will launch in Q4 of 2016 through the Concur App Center.
