Winners of the first international Business Traveller Russia and CIS Awards 2016 announced in Moscow

Highlights from Business Traveller Russia & CIS Awards 2016

Throughout its existence, Business Traveller Awards have won the reputation of an authoritative award, largely due to its unbiased approach: award laureates are chosen by readers` vote, and not by a jury or an expert board.

On September 26, 2016, Business Traveller Russia and CIS Awards ceremony was held in Russia for the first time ever under the auspices of Business Traveller magazine.

Moscow was honoured with the highest award in the nomination “Best City for Business and Event Tourism Worldwide”, leaving behind such cities as Rome, Madrid, Paris, Singapore, Saint Petersburg, Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod.

Frequent travellers had three months to vote for the best representatives of the Russian business travel market in six categories: airline, airport, destination, hotel, car rental service and roaming.

Due to authoritative audit of the vote results by research company GfK Group and the thoroughly selected audience, only the best of the best became winners of Business Traveller Russia and CIS Awards 2016.

Throughout its existence, Business Traveller Awards have won the reputation of an authoritative award, largely due to its unbiased approach: award laureates are chosen by readers` vote, and not by a jury or an expert board.

Vote participants included readers of the Russian edition of the Business Traveller: frequent business travellers, graduates of the leading international and Russian business schools, chief executives of large international companies, representatives of banks, Russian state corporations, as well as individual travellers.

The importance of Business Traveller Russia and CIS Awards for the Russian business travel market lies in determination of the loyalty degree and customer satisfaction level, the so-called positive index of Customer Experience. Due to the specially developed respondent questionnaire and the opinion poll of the representatives of various professional spheres, award results can help to determine quality standards of travel services and the needs both of the corporate and the individual traveller. Customer satisfaction is the key to the development of the Russian hospitality sector, incoming and outcoming travel.

The gala winner awarding ceremony of Russian Business Traveller Awards was held on September 26, 2016, in Izvestia Hall. Chief executives of international and Russian companies, airport directors, representatives of the hotel industry, car rental companies, embassies and tourism offices of different countries of the world, graduates of the leading business schools, representatives of state authorities of the federal and regional levels gathered to hear the vote results.

Masters of Ceremonies were Olga Kabo, film and theatre actress, and Fedor Pavlov-Andreevich, artist, producer, director of Solyanka Art Gallery. The event was opened by the founder of Zelenski Group of companies and the establisher of the Russian edition of Business Traveller – Vadim Zelenski.
