Appoints Executives Rafael Vazquez Pico and Felipe Novais to support its ever expanding hotel portfolio.
PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Wyndham Hotel Group announced the expansion of its regional sales team with the addition of new team members, Rafael Vazquez Pico and Felipe Novais. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Vazquez Pico joins as senior director of sales and will be based in Miami, reporting to Paulo Pena, president and managing director for Wyndham Hotel Group’s Latin America and Caribbean region. Reporting to Vazquez Pico is Felipe Novais, regional sales director, based in Brazil.
As the new region sales leader for Latin America and the Caribbean, Vazquez Pico will be responsible for developing and strategically managing the business-to-business division of Wyndham’s Global Sales Organization, growing business into and within Wyndham’s fastest growing region. Reporting to Vazquez Pico, Novais will be responsible for global sales across the Southern Cone of South America, establishing and developing strategic customer relationships.

Originally from Mexico, Vazquez Pico has worked for major hotel companies across Mexican and Brazilian markets including InterContinental Hotels Group, Caesar Park Hotels & Resorts, and Grupo Posadas. Prior to joining Wyndham Hotel Group, he was director of sales for The Ritz – Carlton hotels of South Florida. Vazquez Pico holds an MBA from Anahuac University in Mexico City and a bachelor’s degree in hospitality business administration from Valle de Mexico University.
Felipe Novais has more than 15 years of experience in business management, hotel operations, and sales and marketing, having worked for companies across the industry such as Melia Hotels International and Bluepoint Hotels. Previously, he served as regional meetings director for InterContinental Hotels Group. Novais holds a master’s degree in international sustainable tourism from London Metropolitan University, as well as an MBA from FGV School of Business in Brazil. He earned his bachelor’s degree in tourism and hospitality from Brazilian UPIS Integrated Colleges.
