ACHAT Hotels licenses GIATA Drive for all 3 to 4 star superior hotels in its portfolio

ACHAT Hotels anticipate that the distribution via GIATA Drive will primarily lead to an improvement in non-bookable content for the distribution partners as well as an expansion of the marketing of ACHAT Hotels by benefiting from GIATA’s globally oriented distribution channels in 74 countries.

BERLIN – ACHAT Hotels, a German hotel group consisting of 35 hotels in Germany, Austria and Hungary, and GIATA – the leading travel technology company specialising in tourism content – have recently announced their cooperation in distributing hotel data, images and COVID-19 hygiene standards.

This means that ACHAT Hotels will be the first German hotel chain to optimise content management for the entire number of 3 to 4 star superior hotels and distribute the hotels via GIATA's central and comprehensive solution for the maintenance and distribution of hotel information – GIATA Drive.

Thanks to the cooperation initiated by Jutta Lugmayer (ACHAT, Director of Leisure Sales) and Jana Friedel (GIATA, Business Development Hotel Products) and signed on 1 September 2020, ACHAT Hotels is now in a position to offer its end customers precisely tailored information and images of its hotels and to inform them about changes in their properties on a daily basis by using GIATA's Premium Hotel Content Solution. This will allow ACHAT to significantly reduce the amount of work required for the administration of hotel information, to cumulate it on one cloud-based platform through GIATA Drive and to harmonise the content management workflow.

ACHAT Hotels anticipate that the distribution via GIATA Drive will primarily lead to an improvement in non-bookable content for the distribution partners as well as an expansion of the marketing of ACHAT Hotels by benefiting from GIATA's globally oriented distribution channels in 74 countries. GIATA Drive also provides ACHAT with greater transparency across distribution channels.

"We have felt how important it is, especially in the last few months, to react to the changing conditions on a daily basis and to be able to pass this information on to our guests", explains Jutta Lugmayer. "GIATA Drive, for example, allows us to communicate the various manifestations of our COVID-19 hygiene measures extremely quickly, globally and in 24 languages – this is currently more important than ever before".
