AmaWaterways adds second Seven River Journey as waitlist for epic 46-night river cruise grows

Innovative river cruise line introduces Spring 2023 Seven River Journey to meet demand for longer, more immersive holidays.

CALABASAS, CA – Citing an overwhelming response to the launch of its first-ever Seven River Journey Through Europe, AmaWaterways announced a second Seven River Journey – Spring. This new 45-night curated itinerary offers guests extra time to discover the springtime floral splendour of Netherlands and Belgium along with the opportunity to experience the  one-of-a-kind AmaMagna sailing the upper and lower Danube during the final two weeks of the trip. Sailing on three ships, the Seven River Journey – Spring will take guests through 14 beautiful countries, with unparalleled experiences in each destination. The journey will depart April 20, 2023 from Avignon, France onboard the award-winning AmaKristina and end on June 4, 2023 in Giurgiu, Romania.

“Our first Seven River Journey – Summer received such a positive response that I am overjoyed to provide our guests yet another incredible extended journey designed to fully immerse them in European culture and create memories that will last a lifetime,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways. “Having one Cruise Manager take care of guests throughout this entire journey ensures a seamless transition from one ship to the other and we have many unique experiences and onboard amenities planned to further enhance the immersive nature of this 45-night journey.”

The awe-inspiring spring journey through Europe will set sail from Avignon, France cruising the Rhône River to Lyon, the gastronomy capital of France. Guests will transfer over to Basel, Switzerland where AmaCerto awaits to explore the Dutch Waterways (Scheldt and Maas rivers) before enjoying the castle studded Rhine and a scenic trip along Moselle, Main and Main Danube Canal. Arriving in Vilshofen, Germany, guests will embark on the last two legs of this epic journey on board AmaMagna, sailing through majestic capitals and small villages along the upper and lower Danube. With the growing interest in less-travelled destinations, AmaWaterways is particularly excited to showcase the lower Danube, taking guests through the enchanting lands of Bulgaria and Romania. Travellers will experience the centuries-old history of Celtic fortifications, medieval towns and grand cities while sailing through the beautiful landscapes of eastern Europe filled with diverse flavours, sights and sounds.
