Anguilla Air Express launched a new Caribbean inter-island executive air link on 14 February 2009 between Anguilla and San Juan, capital of Puerto Rico. Rainbow International Airlines Inc. will operate a double daily service using Beechcraft 1900D Turbo Prop Airplanes offering 19 executive-style leather reclining seats. Passengers will enjoy personalised service during the 46-minute flight the emphasis of the Anguilla Air Express will be on first-class, personalized service on the ground, with escorts through check in and security at both airports. A captain and first officer will pilot the flight.
Rainbow International Airlines Inc. currently operates an executive charter service out of major hubs in the Caribbean including San Juan, St. Maarten, Antigua, Barbados and St. Kitts. Rainbow International already operates and offer luxury transportation between several world-class hotels in the region.
Flights will leave Anguilla for San Juan at 8.00am, 1.00pm and 4.00pm with departures from San Juan to Anguilla at 11.30am, 2.45pm an 5.45pm. Ticket prices start at $399 approximately £274 per person, including taxes.
