As part of this agreement, Kyte’s modern and easy to implement API will fulfill App in the Air’s goal to be a leader in NDC distribution around the world, thus giving its six million users more transparency and options via a seamless experience for the entire trip lifecycle.

LONDON, UK – Kyte, the travel technology company that offers a white label distribution API to connect airlines and travel sellers – has announced a new partnership with App in the Air, a technology company for frequent fliers and the airlines that serve them.

As part of this agreement, Kyte’s modern and easy to implement API will fulfill App in the Air’s goal to be a leader in NDC distribution around the world, thus giving its six million users more transparency and options via a seamless experience for the entire trip lifecycle.

Furthermore, App in the Air’s client base of small and medium sized and unmanaged business travelers now gain streamlined access to airline content, including both NDC and low cost, available via the Kyte API. This includes not just bag and seat selection but the full suite of ancillaries and fare families. This is possible for App in the Air thanks to Kyte’s platform giving efficient direct access to NDC content from airlines without having to integrate with each airline individually (and thus avoiding the hurdles and costs associated with an NDC integration).

Airlines and travel sellers connecting via the Kyte API, licensed as a SaaS, enjoy an independent relationship, where they remain in control over their contracted fares and incentives and benefit from a lightweight platform which is easier to update and keep up with consumer demands.

Andy Palacios, Director of Growth and Strategic Partnerships at App in the Air says: “Airlines everywhere are asking themselves ‘how do I attract and retain valuable travelers in the mobile space’. Well direct bookings via NDC connectivity are the answer! What’s more, this allows them to upsell with easy-to-purchase ancillaries and upgrades. But as a travel seller trying to integrate even one airline’s NDC solution is unnecessarily complex and slow – so Kyte’s straightforward one-to-many API and onboarding process is perfect in comparison.”

Alice Ferrari, Founder & CEO at Kyte adds. “As a personal user of App in the Air, I´m simply thrilled to announce they have now become our partner. The highly original concept and fast-growing, mobile-first customer base are perfectly matched to benefit from the one-to-many NDC potential that our Kyte API offers. Today’s news is another step forward in our objective of driving a full transformation of the entire airfare booking experience through advanced distribution and retail technology.”
