Association of Canadian Travel Agencies renews partnership with Εnterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car

The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) – which represents the interests of 2,600 travel agencies and 18,000 retail travel professionals in Canada – announced today that it has renewed its exclusive national partnership agreement with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car.

Under the agreement, which runs to the end of 2008, ACTA will promote the three brands to consumers and travel agents. In turn, Enterprise, National and Alamo will support the association in its membership advocacy and promotional activities in Canada, including working with ACTA to provide customized rental programs to travel professionals at select times during the duration of the agreement.

“As North America’s leading rental car companies, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car are important stakeholders in the travel and tourism industry in Canada,” says Christiane Theberge, President and CEO at ACTA. “Enterprise, National and Alamo are important to ACTA and we are pleased to be working with these brands to help promote their rental services to our members.”

Collectively, the Enterprise, National and Alamo brands operate a network of more than 8,000 car rental locations in neighborhoods and at airports worldwide and represent the most comprehensive service provider in the industry, unparalleled in size, strength and stability.

National Car Rental focuses on corporate business travel and Alamo Rent A Car concentrates on the vacation traveler.  Enterprise Rent-A-Car also specializes in leisure travel as well as in renting to people who need a temporary replacement car or a vehicle for a special occasion.

In particular, Enterprise’s one-of-a-kind partnership for travel agencies provides them the ability to set their own rate and commission structure based on individual business strategies. Under the program – which Enterprise developed in collaboration with the travel industry – travel professionals can select from four different rate and commission structures based on which best suits their individual business needs. Flexibility in the program allows agencies to switch their commission and rate structure at any time.
