Campbell Travel names Teri Goins President

Company announces batch of internal promotions to position agency for the future.

DALLAS – Campbell Travel, the Dallas-based travel agency with more than 35 years of experience combining high-touch service with industry-leading technology, announced several staffing moves that position the agency to expand its workforce lodging and leisure travel divisions, including the promotion of Teri Goins to President.

Goins takes over the role of President from founder Bob Campbell, who has served as President and CEO of the agency off and on for more than three decades. Goins first joined Campbell Travel as Vice President of Business Development in February 2019, bringing with her 30 years of experience in sales, client services and operations, as well prior buyer-side roles in travel management and procurement.

In her expanded role, Goins will oversee all three of the agency’s branded business units: Campbell Lodging, its workforce lodging division; TravelDesigns by Campbell, its leisure travel division; and Campbell Travel, its corporate travel agency division.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Teri stepping into this more robust leadership position,” said founder and CEO Bob Campbell. “It’s been a tough time for agencies coming out of COVID-19, but Teri’s tremendous drive and ambition, as well as her true appreciation and support of the culture we’ve built up at Campbell over the past three decades, have helped us get through it and emerge on really strong footing to grow rapidly in the years ahead.”

Campbell Travel has also promoted Fernanda Nielsen to Vice President of TravelDesigns by Campbell; Hahna Weddle to Director of Operations; Angel Monsivais to Director of Account Management and Product Support; and Marc DuFrene to Director, Campbell Lodging. The company also hired Keel O’Neill as National Sales Manager earlier this year.

“I’m so proud of the Campbell team and the efforts of these individuals during the difficulties of the past year,” said Goins. “They’ve all played key roles in maintaining our reputation for customer excellence and innovation and I know they’ll continue to have an impact as we expand workforce lodging and leisure travel coming out of the pandemic.”

Fernanda Nielsen’s promotion to Vice President of TravelDesigns by Campbell is her second advancement with Campbell Travel since joining the company in 2019 as a leisure travel manager. In her new role, Nielsen will be responsible for overseeing and building out the division’s roster of independent travel advisors, leveraging TravelDesigns by Campbell’s membership in the Virtuoso travel network.

Hahna Weddle's promotion to Director of Operations marks her second advancement with Campbell and third position within the agency. She came to Campbell Travel after almost 10 years as a Corporate Operations Manager with Corporate Travel Management US. Weddle is responsible for agent operations, project management and the implementation and ongoing support of technology solutions.

Angel Monsivais as Director of Account Management and Product Support brings more than 20 years of travel industry knowledge and experience to her new role, which includes strategic management across the agency’s client base and oversight of ongoing client solutions and technologies.

Marc DuFrene, who moved from Manager, Business Development to Director, Campbell Lodging, has played a key role in building out the company’s workforce and crew lodging division, previously named Innovative Lodging. DuFrene joined Campbell in 2018 after 10 years of business development, consulting and research work for his own business. In his new position, DuFrene will continue to lead the expansion efforts of Campbell Lodging, serving as a subject matter expert and key customer liaison for the brand.

Keel O’Neill as National Sales Manager brings more than two decades of experience in corporate travel and business development experience, most recently serving as Manager, Business Development at Adelman Travel. He joined the company in February 2021 and will focus primarily on expanding Campbell Travel and Campbell Lodging.
