This important award was given to the President Fiera Milano Congressi, Giuseppe Zola, by Patrizia Buongiorno, IAPCO President, at a recent celebratory dinner at the very special Palazzo Visconti in Milan, one of the most elegant examples of the Lombard Baroque. Giuseppe was one of the driving forces in determining the role played by Fiera Milano Congressi (FMC) in the creation of a Milan system promoting the capital of Lombardy in the European city congress circuit, a fact recognised and endorsed by AIM Group.
The award is allocated every year to the congress player providing excellent support services for large-scale international meetings and conferences. This year, Fiera Milano Congress was nominated by AIM Group as an exceptional supplier and partner. The winner of the Award was decided during the 2009 General Assembly: “we chose Fiera Milano Congressi” explains Patrizia “because it understood how important it was to bring together all the players (including institutions, agencies and trade associations) involved in the organisation of a congress, and created precious synergies for promoting Milan as a congress destination”.
