Today, Lufthansa expects major interference with flight services to and from Dusseldorf between 5.30 and 16.00 hrs. Many flight cancellations and considerable delays are to be expected. The reason is an employees` meeting and possible industrial stoppage associated with it by the employees of the Dusseldorf Airport Company.
Lufthansa regrets that the internal conflicts of the operating partners of the Dusseldorf Airport Company are being fought out at the expense of the passengers.
The airline is doing everything it can to ensure that the inconvenience caused to its passengers is kept to a minimum. Thus, passengers from Dusseldorf flying to Munich, Berlin and Hamburg will be rebooked free of charge to flights planned from Cologne. All other passengers with destinations in Germany, Europe or overseas will be requested to take the train from Dusseldorf to Frankfurt.
