Hutton Brickyards re-opened under management

The sprawling indoor/outdoor events venue and hotel now managed by Waterford Hotel Group.

KINGSTON, NY – Hutton Brickyards’ ownership reopened yesterday April 6th – just in time for the busy 2023 events and weddings season – under the management of Waterford Hotel Group of Connecticut. The group has been named exclusive property manager for all of Hutton Brickyards.

“We’re excited to open under new management, following a seasonal closure and property-wide refurbishments, and jump into the weddings and exciting events we have coming up this year,” said Karl Slovin, owner of Hutton Brickyards and creator of the 100-acre events venue and hotel on the Hudson River. “We’re excited to work with Waterford Hotel Group, and to reopen to the public as soon as possible with Hutton Brickyards operating at its full potential.”

Slovin, who started redeveloping the former brick manufacturing facility in 2016, has most recently added a second location to the expansive Hutton Brickyards property – an estate original to the site, Edgewood. “We have completed a meticulous restoration of the 1873 house the Cordts family built for themselves on property,” said Slovin. “Edgewood Mansion includes all new and modern systems, a state of the art kitchen, and 12 guestrooms and suites.” Edgewood holds a seasonal restaurant and an original oak bar and lounge/meeting space which can accommodate receptions, cocktail events, and other special occasions. The mansion’s exterior has been restored yet remains unchanged, while the interior update has aimed to celebrate the historic house and its architectural details by letting them shine alongside a neutral color palette.

In May, Edgewood and Hutton Brickyards’ restaurant, The River Pavilion, will reopen to the public for Friday and Saturday dinner and bar service, along with Saturday and Sunday brunch on the river, both by reservation. Wood-fired ovens and grills are the centerpieces of the open-air restaurant located on the banks of the Hudson River, featuring wood-burning fireplaces and elevated cuisine inspired by the Hudson Valley’s bounty. “We can’t wait to welcome guests and locals to dine at Hutton Brickyards once again,” said Slovin.

Sitting on over 100 acres of rolling hills and lush meadows, with industrial structures soaring skyward on the majestic Hudson River, Hutton Brickyards has a storied Hudson Valley past. The sprawling property, two hours from NYC, specializes in idyllic weddings and events of all sizes – including corporate retreats, and festivals like the much-loved Field and Supply, which is returning to Hutton Brickyard in 2023 for its wildly popular spring and fall Makers Fairs.

The brickyards’ industrial architecture provides a show-stopping backdrop for weddings, as well as corporate events, offsite retreats, and other gatherings of all shapes and sizes. Encompassing a variety of onsite venues – and with multiple accommodation styles to choose from, including individual cabin-style rooms and the Edgewood mansion guest rooms – Hutton Brickyards offers something for every type of event layout, from the grand to the intimate, all set against the serene Hudson River.

Leisure and team-building activities available vary by season and include archery, hiking trails and bike paths, an outdoor gym, lawn games, group spa experiences, outdoor yoga, picnic spaces, firepits, and more. Please note that wedding bookings in 2023 are full weekend, event venue buy-outs.
