For the fifth consecutive year, Karatzis Group, was named a “True Leader” in the 11th award ceremony of ICAP group of companies’ homonymous awards for 2020, among 59 co-nominated companies and 15 co-nominated groups. This award confirms the group’s status as a leading force in the domestic market, continuing to play a leading role in its industry and demonstrating successful financial results with consistency and dedication to its goals.
This distinction constitutes further proof that Karatzis Group, through its collective activity, actively contributes to the reversal of the climate of recession brought upon the national economy by the pandemic, creating greater prospects for the country’s future. The criteria serving as indicators in naming the group a “True Leader”, were:
- It ranking among the 500 Companies or 150 Groups with the largest numbers in personnel, having significantly increased its staff from 2019 to 2020.
- It holding one of the top positions within its field based on its Turnover.
- It holding a high “ICAP Credit Score”
In his statement, Karatzis Group President and CEO, Mr Antonis Karatzis, said: “We are especially honoured that the Group is emerging as a leading force for the 5th consecutive year as distinctions of this sort are testament to the the hard work and dedication all our people have demonstrated towards the work we continue to successfully produce for many years with a vision of innovation, extroversion, social responsibility and sustainable development. Despite the difficult circumstances arising from the health crisis, the Group remains loyal to its goals with consistency and perseverance and continues to grow and lead”.
This year’s event, organised under the auspice of the Association of Enterprises and Industries (SEV), distinguished the 59 most profitable companies in the field of Greek entrepreneurship, among 30,000 companies meeting the institution’s criteria. Like last year, the ceremony was broadcasted through a comprehensive digital promotion programme for the “True Leaders” Companies and Groups in the mass media and on Social Media, due to protective health measures against COVID-19.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
