Leonardo and La Quinta Holdings announce reinvigorated relationship utilizing an enhanced asset management platform

La Quinta adds Leonardo’s VScape Premium Solution to its image distribution toolkit.

TORONTO, CANADA – Leonardo announced its renewed partnership with La Quinta Inns & Suites with VScape Premium to augment digital asset management and third-party distribution.

La Quinta is a leading owner, operator and franchisor of select-service hotels, primarily serving the upper-midscale and midscale segments. The Company's owned and franchised portfolio consists of more than 880 properties across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Honduras.

La Quinta is once again leveraging VScape, Leonardo’s Digital Asset Management System, which helps hotel chains organize and store digital media assets, such as images, video and virtual tours, as well as distribute images to the world’s largest network of travel websites, their own branded sites, internal departments and third-party vendors.

“We are thrilled to welcome La Quinta to Leonardo through our VScape Premium solution,” said Paolo Boni, Chief Executive Officer at Leonardo. “It is our mission to be the travel industry’s most trusted provider in digital asset management and distribution, and La Quinta is a big part of that story, especially in North America.”

La Quinta is adding Leonardo’s inbound media sync technology to fully streamline image distribution from their Content Management System into VScape for third-party and GDS distribution. This automated process ensures all media uploaded to VScape adheres to La Quinta’s strict brand guidelines.

Once media is uploaded to VScape, it can then be selectively distributed to certain third-party channels within Leonardo’s VNetwork, the world’s largest distribution network trusted by 200+ direct channels and thousands of indirect channels. Over 1.5 million images are distributed via VNetwork, making it the single largest source of hotel visual content. The industry’s largest GDSs, OTAs, Meta-Searches, Travel Research, Corporate Solutions and TMCs, and Booking Technology Providers all part of VNetwork.

“We understand the importance of representing our hotels well on third-party channels,” said Ted Schweitzer, Senior Vice Presidents of Digital Commerce & Media for La Quinta. “The strength of Leonardo’s partnerships and technological integration with those channels, especially on corporate booking sites, made this a logical move for La Quinta.”
