Los Cabos Tourism Board selects MMGY Global as agency of record for public relations

Leading integrated travel marketing firm to spearhead U.S. PR efforts for tourism board.

Los Cabos, Mexico – The Los Cabos Tourism Board has selected MMGY Global, the nation’s largest integrated travel marketing company, as its U.S. Agency of Record for public relations following an official RFP review in January.

Effective immediately, MMGY will work with the Los Cabos Tourism Board to implement its public relations efforts across the North American market. Through the execution of a targeted media relations program, along with the development of larger creative campaigns targeting U.S. travelers, MMGY is tasked with positioning Los Cabos as the best tourism and meetings destination in Mexico. The agency’s remit is to maintain momentum on the region’s unprecedented growth and rapid comeback from Hurricane Odile in 2014.

Los Cabos is ready for business and eagerly awaits U.S. travelers,” say Luis Palacios, CCO and Ruben Reachi, CEO of the Los Cabos Tourism Board. “With 15,000 hotel rooms and 3,000 more in the pipeline; increased airlift from the U.S. and Canada; a buzzing culinary scene; and various experiences to be had from land, air and sea, our destination is booming once again, and we are excited to have MMGY Global onboard as a partner to help tell our special story.

As our public relations practice continues to expand globally, we are pleased to add Mexico’s premier tourism and meetings destination to our international client roster,” says Clayton Reid, CEO and president of MMGY Global. “It is an exciting time for the destination, and we are committed to putting a spotlight on its progress and diverse cultural and natural offerings.
