Meridian Adventure SAIL offers private group sailing adventures in Raja Ampat

Leaving a limited footprint is critical to each voyage. The environmentally friendly ethos means sailing silently powered by the equatorial winds as often as possible, while the shallow hulls allow low-impact navigation of hidden coves and reefs.

Meridian Adventure SAIL offers an innovative way to unite, incentivise or reward a corporate team or small group: a carefully crafted, bespoke ocean adventure on a private fleet of catamarans.

Operating as a private explorers club, the fleet is currently based in Raja Ampat, Indonesia. This is a spectacle of pristine coral reefs, lush islands and the richest variety of marine life found on Earth: 75 percent of the world’s coral species and more than 3,000 fish species are found here.

Founder Sean Galleymore notes: “More than ever we believe that as the world emerges from the isolation brought on by this pandemic, there will be a need for people to reconnect with their employees, clients and family in a more meaningful way and spend ‘outdoor’ time with them. Escaping to the most pristine ocean destinations, away from the density of cities throbbing with people, will offer guests the chance to rediscover the wonder of the outdoors whilst take the time to reboot, revive and regenerate relationships.”

Setting sail on a carefully crafted, all-inclusive adventure, Meridian Adventure SAIL enables guests to spend time embarking on various ocean activities in nature which enhance interpersonal relationships while enjoying being in one of the most spectacular settings on earth. Depending on the age and desired vigour of the group, the adventure group develops a high-energy or relaxing itinerary they share in the powerful experience of reconnecting with nature itself.

Conveniently reached by private jet directly into Sorong, the gateway to Raja Ampat, guests are met on arrival and escorted to their private fleet of up to six sleek 62’ catamarans. Up to 32 guests may be hosted on a multi-vessel journey. A highly qualified team carefully choreographs the sailing expedition to ensure an exploration of the visually spectacular island archipelago and its crystal-clear waters.

Each day offers a new way to actively explore the destination together, including world-class diving using cutting- edge equipment and custom dive boats. Guests may also partake in activities including snorkelling, kayaking, using a seabob or even illuminated paddle boarding by night. Those with an interest in sailing may learn from the crew themselves as they navigate the maze of islands.

While able to enjoy private space onboard each of the six catamarans, groups are united above and below the sea for these activities, as well as for bare-foot cocktails and rotational dining on the deck.

Leaving a limited footprint is critical to each voyage. The environmentally friendly ethos means sailing silently powered by the equatorial winds as often as possible, while the shallow hulls allow low-impact navigation of hidden coves and reefs.

Sean Galleymore adds: “The world is currently living in a state of separation: we are working harder than ever, yet remotely and apart. At the same time, we have all been inspired by the natural world around us, thankful for its restorative effect. A Meridian Adventure SAIL journey will enable corporate groups to reunite in a considered way whilst appreciating one of the world’s most exclusive and remote destinations to see ocean life. It will be an experience never to be forgotten.”
