Millennials in Travel expands in Chicago and Atlanta

Millennials in Travel has paved the way for young professionals in the travel industry to network through monthly events, social media forums and volunteering opportunities while providing assistance with job placement opportunities within the industry.

LOS ANGELES, CA – Millennials in Travel will be launching its third and fourth chapters in Chicago and Atlanta on July 23 and July 25, respectively. As a national career development and networking organization, Millennials in Travel has paved the way for young professionals in the travel industry to network through monthly events, social media forums and volunteering opportunities while providing assistance with job placement opportunities within the industry.

The Chicago chapter of Millennials in Travel will launch on July 23 at 6 p.m. at the Park Hyatt Chicago. Chapter officers include Miriam Geiser with Moonrings, Melissa Pugh with Jetset World Travel, Meg Loomis with Park Hyatt Chicago and Robin Lee with Pierbusseti.

Caitlin Murphy, Director of Communications, commented, “We are excited to have such a strong team of up and coming industry leaders involved in the development in this great city. Our growth into internationally recognized cities will only increase the opportunities to network on a global level, furthering our goal of creating a stronger industry in the next decade.”

The Millennials in Travel Atlanta Chapter will host its inaugural event at the Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta on Thursday, July 25 at 6 p.m.

“We’re very appreciative of the support Mandarin Oriental has provided during the early phase of Millennials in Travel becoming the travel industry’s leading organization exclusive to our generation,” Joshua Smith, Director of Strategic Development said. “From hosting events in various cities and representatives involved in the development of new chapters, it provides further validation that we have a collectively created a beneficial organization.”

Leading the Atlanta chapter are Ansley Thomas with Smartflyer, Lindsey Epperly with Columbus Travel and Adriane Tippin with Intercontinental Hotel Group.

Millennials in Travel will continue its domestic growth in 2013 with chapter development in Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., San Diego and New York City. Chapters in Los Angeles and Miami launched earlier this year.
