Nairobi flights back on RwandAir schedule

Two weeks after announcing the suspension of flights to Nairobi, RwandAir has resumed scheduled operations to Kenya’s capital with two daily frequencies. The mid morning flight to Nairobi -WB107 will now depart from Kigali at 1000HRS (local time) daily while the afternoon flight WB117 will now depart from Kigali at 1600HRS (local time) on all days except Friday when it leaves for Nairobi at 1800HRS. RwandAir early afternoon flight WB108 will now depart from Nairobi for Kigali at 1400HRS (Nairobi time) while the late evening flight WB118 will now leave Nairobi for Kigali at 2000HRS (Nairobi time).

Other notable changes on the RwandAir schedule include flight WB115 to Kamembe which will now depart from Kigali at 0800HRS (local time) daily, flight WB103 to Kilimanjaro will depart from Kigali at 0700HRS (local time) on Mondays and Wednesdays and at 1400HRS on Fridays. Flight WB206 to Bujumbura will now depart from Kigali at 1630HRS (local time) daily except Fridays when departures move an hour back to 1540HRS.

The airline has maintained the two daily frequencies to Entebbe with the early afternoon flight departing from Kigali at 1300HRS while the evening flight will leave Kigali at 1900HRS. Scheduled flights to Johannesburg remain suspended for the time being however the carrier is working towards resuming these operations in the near future.

Plans to launch scheduled flights to Goma and Dar es Salaam remain underway with the launch dates slated for mid December 2009 and mid January 2010 respectively.
