Despite an unprecedented year for the tourism sector, the Spanish hotel chain continues to prioritize unique and safe guest experiences.
MADRID, SPAIN – Palladium Hotel Group is reflecting on a year of recognition from trusted travel partners including TravelAge West, Prevue Magazine, Delta Vacations, Conde Nast Traveler, Travel Weekly, Recommend Magazine, TripAdvisor, and Travel Pulse. The awards place Palladium Hotel Group amongst the elite in their respective categories and recognize the hotel chain as a leader in hospitality and travel during a year of turmoil for the industries.
Palladium Hotel Group, which celebrates 50 years in the hospitality industry, has been awarded several accolades for the brand’s Grand Palladium Hotels and Resorts and the adults-only TRS Hotels in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica. The most recent recognition comes from TravelAge West, where Palladium Hotel Group received the TravelAge West Wave Editor’s Pick for Best All-Inclusive Hotel Group, Mexico. In November, Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa in Mexico received the 2020 Silver Visionary Award for Best Caribbean/Mexico Hotel Indoor/Outdoor Meeting Space by Prevue Magazine. Additionally, Delta Vacations awarded Palladium Hotel Group the 2020 Quality Assurance Award for Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa and TRS Turquesa Hotel. In October, Conde Nast Traveler recognized Grand Palladium Colonial Resort & Spa as Top 20 Resorts in Eastern Mexico in this year's Readers’ Choice Awards. Additionally that month, Palladium Hotel Group was awarded three Travel Weekly Magellan Awards: Gold in Overall-Upscale Hotel/Resort, Gold in Campaign-Advertising/Marketing, and Silver in Overall-Beach/Resort Hotel. Travel advisor magazine, Recommend, awarded Palladium Hotel Group with two Readers’ Choice Awards for Best All-Inclusive Resorts (Bronze) and Best Luxury All-Inclusive Resorts (Silver).
Earlier this year, TripAdvisor awarded the following properties with the Travelers' Choice 2020 Badge in August: TRS Coral Hotel, Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa, TRS Yucatan Hotel, Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa and TRS Turquesa Hotel. TRS Yucatan Hotel in Mexico was awarded TripAdvisor’s Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Award for the third consecutive year since 2017. In February, Palladium Hotel Group was awarded the Silver Award for Best All-Inclusive Family Resort – Mexico and the President’s Award for Sustainable Tourism at the 2020 Travvy Awards.

Most of these recognitions follow a series of successful property reopenings by Palladium Hotel Group after months of international travel restrictions. In July, the hotel chain resumed operations for properties in Costa Mujeres and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Jamaica. Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium Colonial Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa and TRS Yucatan Hotel located in Riviera Maya, Mexico, reopened on October 2. Grand Palladium Palace Resort, Spa & Casino, Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa and TRS Turquesa Hotel, all located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, welcomed guests on November 19. Most recently, the adults-only TRS Cap Cana Hotel, also located in Punta Cana, resumed operations on December 4.
In addition to a year of successful reopenings, Palladium Hotel Group has been recognized for its forward-thinking approach to safety. With a council dedicated to developing initiatives to put safety first for all Palladium Hotel Group guests, the hotel chain has implemented SGS certified Health and Safety protocols at all properties and made their Stay Safe Plus medical insurance complementary to all guests to protect them in case of any unforeseen circumstances that may arise from the current health emergency.
