Rio Convention & Visitors Bureau expands its operations in the UK with the opening of a London office

Bossa Brazil, based in London, is the official representative of Rio CVB in the markets of the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Germany.

Rio Convention & Visitors Bureau (Rio CVB) has expanded its operations in the United Kingdom by opening a representation office to promote tourism to the Marvellous City.

Bossa Brazil, based in London, is the official representative of Rio CVB in the markets of the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Germany.

The Rio London office focuses on attracting business and leisure tourists, promoting the marvellous city through participation in travel shows and events and building related activities with tour operators and travel agents. The London office will also act as a press office to support the press and media inquiries in the United Kingdom.

Bossa Brazil will support those who already sell Rio de Janeiro but will also encourage those interested in including it in their programmes and packages.

"The British market has great relevance in tourism revenue for Brazil and Rio de Janeiro. Before the Covid pandemic, international travel injected over US$ 6 billion into the Brazilian economy. We are now intensifying the promotion of the marvellous city in the United Kingdom. The Rio Convention and Visitors Bureau participates in all international travel trade events. With our London office in partnership with Bossa Brazil, we will greatly strengthen this work in the United Kingdom," said Roberta Werner, Executive Director of Rio CVB.

The list of the Rio CVB members, including incoming tour operators and DMCs, hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions, can be accessed on rcvb.com.br.

Rio de Janeiro is now the gateway for tourists to Brazil. The demand is growing every day, both for leisure and corporate as well as for holding events and congresses, due to the wide range of options offered in a single destination: culture, gastronomy, ecotourism, adventure tourism, and of course, the wonderful Carioca beaches.
