Salt Hotels debuts Salt House Nantucket for Summer 2022

Bookings now open for an exclusive summer pop-up in the heart of Nantucket.

NANTUKET, MA – Salt Hotels – a homegrown collection of artfully designed boutique hotels with properties in Cape Cod, Miami, New Jersey Shore, the Hudson Valley, and beyond – will debut its latest addition, Salt House Nantucket, and exclusive summer pop-up, this weekend in time for Independence Day.

Featuring 18 rooms, the historic inspired hotel is situated in the heart of verdant Brant Point, minutes from downtown and steps from the beach. The fully renovated property is reminiscent of a classic bed and breakfast, with daily complimentary breakfast included, and guests will find the same exclusive amenities, intuitive service, and impeccable design inspired by local sentiments as they have come to expect from Salt Hotels.

Bookings are now open in partnership with Tablet Hotels, a highly-curated source for discovering the world's most interesting boutique and luxury hotels. The property will be launching as a pop-up hotel experience this summer, with a full launch set for summer 2023. Next year the hotel will be debuting an exclusive members club along with additional guest rooms, a new central barn-style building, lobby, lounge, and a swimming pool for the 2023 season.

“Salt House Nantucket will be a true celebration of summers on the Cape,” says David Bowd, CEO of Salt Hotels. “Since launching our first property in Provincetown, Salt Hotels has always considered New England as its home base, so we’re thrilled to continue planting our roots in this region and offer our unmatched hospitality to this beautiful beachfront community.”

Beyond luxuriously appointed guestrooms, Salt House Nantucket features ample gathering spaces including an expansive lawn complete with lawn games, fire pits, surrounded by adirondack chairs, complimentary bikes available for exploring the island, and plenty of quiet corners to enjoy an inventive cocktail or tuck into a good book. The public areas feature the breakfast room and lounge, which spills out onto a dining deck and outdoor bar and lounge area.

Salt House Nantucket is inspired by the agrarian past of the historic Brant Point neighborhood, which was once dotted with working farms. The post and beam structures that make up the hotel have been given a modern overhaul with bleached oak floors, a warm neutral color palette, and luxurious details and touches. Rich glazed tiles line the newly renovated bathrooms; airy suites hold custom cabinetry, high-end appliances in their kitchenettes, and custom light fixtures throughout.

“Salt House Nantucket has a light and contemporary look, apt for a New England escape,” says Kevin O’Shea, Chief Creative Officer of Salt Hotels. “We chose a sophisticated color palette and design aesthetic – quintessentially summer on Nantucket; easy breezy.”

Salt House Nantucket is the latest in Salt Hotels’ New England expansion, with a property set to launch in Newport, Rhode Island next year. The collection also features Salt House Inn and Eben House, located in Provincetown, MA.
