HAMBURG – Sea Cloud Cruises is strengthening their health protection measures on board its three tall ships due to the wide spread Omicron variant.
For the upcoming start of the Mediterranean season in April, the shipping company has added proof of booster vaccination to its requirements for passengers and crew. Last year, the company was the first German operator to require full vaccination protection for passengers traveling on one of its five-star ships.

All three Sea Cloud Cruises ships also offer the best conditions for protecting the health of everyone on board. For example, all cabins and public areas are ventilated with 100% fresh air; the exhaust air is led directly to the outside and can’t enter other areas.
In addition, the manageable size of the Sea Cloud, Sea Cloud II and the new Sea Cloud Spirit allows all frequently touched surfaces to be intensively cleaned several times a day. Also, to regular hygiene and disinfection measures all cabins and public areas are extensively disinfected as standard between disembarkation and embarkation, using a state-of-the-art cold fogging process.
