ShareRing partners with leading tours and activities marketplace Viator

Travellers will be able to book, register and pay for Viator’s marketplace activity offerings via ShareRing’s platform, which provides a fast and secure option that better protects travelers’ information in the COVID-era.

MT – ShareRing, the global sharing ecosystem making services and goods accessible for all, has announced it is integrating Viator, a Tripadvisor company and one of the world's largest marketplaces for tours and activities, to deliver a seamless and safer standard for the travel industry in the COVID-era.

Travellers will be able to book, register and pay for Viator’s marketplace activity offerings via ShareRing’s platform, which provides a fast and secure option that better protects travelers’ information in the COVID-era. In addition to Viator-sourced experiences, travelers can book and manage accommodations, flights, visas and tourist applications, rental vehicle details and mobile wallets all safely within the app, with the option to backup data to cloud storage.

Personal and financial information is protected via encryption using ShareRing ID – a custom-designed technology that ensures private information can only be accessed by the user or shared at their discretion in a secure manner.

Viator’s marketplace offers more than 395,000 activities and experiences worldwide, which will be accessible on the platform. Users can also access any surrounding retailers and shops who have already integrated within the system.

“We're very happy to be adding Viator to the ShareRing ecosystem. Our ShareRing ID and flexible payment solutions, along with the extensive activities from Viator will help ensure a positive and seamless travel experience for our users,” said Tim Bos, CEO of ShareRing.

The platform, which is easily integratable with other travel providers, has been built with government, tourism and health regulator’s requirements in mind.

ShareRing recently announced a new COVID-compliant passport component within the system.

This allows for the safe re-opening of borders, shops, and tourism as travellers can provide a “Proof of Health” confirmation when scanning QR codes at points of entry, which will notify and direct them to nearby testing facilities if they come into contact with a known COVID carrier.

The feature, which is currently in integration process with partners yet to be announced, will become vital for both Viator users and countries who heavily rely on the multi-trillion dollar travel industry for income.

The ShareRing ecosystem has received strong support from 12 Peers Capital Markets, Alphabit, GDA Capital and Alpha Sigma Capital.

ShareRing’s application has already been integrated with more than 2.6 million hotel and activity providers around the world.
