Sitges Hills Villas acquires new properties to meet unprecedented demand for Summer 2016 holidays

Villa La Tramontana, Sitges.

Agency expects 2016 rental bookings to increase by 30% over 2015.

UK/SPAIN – Specialist villa rental agency, Sitges Hills Villas, has moved to add a number of new properties to its portfolio in response to unprecedented demand for villa holidays this season.

The agency specialises in providing high quality holiday properties in and around the popular seaside resort of Sitges, located 35 km south of Barcelona in North East Spain.

Company executives believe that the increased demand for this season is due to a combination of factors including security concerns around other traditional summer destinations such as Turkey, Tunisia and Egypt, which is driving bookings to 'safer' and more familiar destinations like Spain, as well as the increasing recognition of Sitges as a high quality family holiday resort.

Commenting on the surge in bookings Ali Scriven, Sitges Hills Villas Marketing Director said: "Our business has grown every year since inception in 2010, however, the increase in demand this year is exceptional and we have had to move quickly to source new properties so that we can take advantage of this opportunity".

Ali Scriven added "We have seen Sitges grow in popularity as a holiday destination over recent years as people look for something more than just the typical bland Spanish high rise resort.

"Sitges is a cultured and cosmopolitan resort that has purposefully avoided over development and this, combined with its close proximity to Barcelona and other world-class tourist attractions, has helped grow its international recognition".

The company is expecting bookings for the 2016 season to increase by at least 30% compared to last year.
