Stash Hotel Rewards expands New England presence with addition of Seven Hotels

New partners showcase region’s Unique and Charming Inns, B&B’s and Small Luxury Hotels.

MA, ME, RI, VT – Stash Hotel Rewards, the nation’s largest point-based loyalty program for independent hotels, today welcomed the addition of seven new partner hotels – The Daniel, The Dunes on the Waterfront, Kedron Valley Inn, Mill Street Inn, Rockport Inn & Suites, Stonehedge Inn & Spa, and Newagen Sea Side Inn – located from Massachusetts to Maine. With these additions, the Stash Rewards footprint grows to over 150 partner hotels across the United States – including 22 of New England’s most charming inns, B&B’s and small luxury hotels.

“With an incredibly rich offering of small, high-end hotels and distinctive inns in New England, Stash offers travelers a way to experience culture and history from one end of the region to the other, while earning points for free nights every step of the way,” said Jeff Low, Founder and CEO of Stash Hotel Rewards. “You get the advantages of a big chain, but instead of a bland white room, you stay in a converted mill on Newport’s Historic Hill or in a heritage tavern that’s now one of Vermont’s most awarded luxury hotels.  And with over 150 hotels across the U.S. in the Stash network, you can cash those points in for free nights at independent hotels and resorts from Rhode Island to Hawaii.”

When visiting New England, many travelers prefer to stay at the picturesque inns, bed & breakfasts and small hotels and resorts that dot the landscape. No two independent properties are alike, yet they all capture the rich history and charm that is New England.  With the addition of seven new partners in New England, Stash now makes staying at some of the region’s most distinctive and beloved properties an even more rewarding experience by allowing travelers to earn and redeem points.

“Stash is a unique program that gives high-quality, independent, small hotels like us the opportunity to be a part of an innovative guest rewards program – a tool that we didn’t have access to previously,” said Jeff Farrar, Principal of Farrar Equities, the management company for Kedron Valley Inn and Mill Street Inn. “It also allows us to reach those frequent travelers who appreciate the personalized, high-level experience they find at smaller properties in an entirely new way.”

Stash’s newly added partners represent a variety of New England lodging options, ensuring a perfect fit for every travel need. The Daniel, a historic inn in Brunswick, Maine, was once home to Brunswick’s first European settler. The Dunes on the Waterfront is a collection of cottages on the Tidal River in Ogunquit, Maine, reminiscent of one of the original New England Colonies – but with modern day amenities. The Newagen Seaside Inn offers an authentic Maine experience as well, with a salty breeze, lighthouses glowing in the distance and the opportunity to dine on the day’s catch.

The Rockport Inn & Suites, a picturesque inn located in Rockport, Mass., provides travelers with a year-round coastal retreat – one of the few to do so in the area. At Stonehedge Inn & Spa in Tyngsboro, Mass., guests can be found mingling in the European-inspired lounge while enjoying great conversation over a glass of wine from New England’s largest wine cellar.

For travelers visiting Rhode Island, the historic Mill Street Inn offers a central Newport location, contemporary luxury with original architecture and a rooftop patio overlooking the Harbor. Finally, people hoping for a quaint, warm getaway can stay at South Woodstock’s Kedron Valley Inn. The beautiful property welcomes guests with a classic two-story front porch, a fireplace tavern and exposed beams throughout. Many of the rooms even have fireplaces of their own, ensuring travelers stay cozy even in the coldest of Vermont nights.

“The one-of-a-kind boutique properties that are a part of the Stash collection are simply amazing,” said Beej Daas, CEO of Boston East India Hotels, the management company for The Daniel and Stonehedge Inn & Spa. “By aligning with this program, The Daniel and Stonehedge are now a part of this great community of independent hotels – something we know our loyal guests are going to appreciate.”

These new properties join fifteen existing Stash partner inns and small luxury hotels across New England, including six Maine properties: Hidden Pond, Kennebunkport Inn, The Tides Beach Club, Cottages at Cabot Cove, Cape Arundel Inn & Resort, and the Portland Regency Hotel & Spa; two Vermont hotels: The Norwich Inn and The Essex Resort & Spa; five Massachusetts hotels: The Lord Jeffery Inn, Cranwell Resort, Spa, and Golf Club, The Verb Hotel, The Hotel Veritas, and The Lenox Hotel; and two Rhode Island properties: Hotel Providence and Hotel Viking.
