Travaasa Experiential Resorts partners with Mokulele Airlines

Travaasa Experiential Resorts, a new brand of destination resorts and spas, announces an exciting partnership with Mokulele Airlines to provide travelers easy access to its Travaasa Hana, Maui Resort located in the picturesque community of Hana on Maui's secluded eastern shoreline.

DENVER – Beginning October 1, 2012, Mokulele Airlines will operate twice-daily flight service from Maui’s Kahului Airport to Hana Airport. Passengers will fly aboard a nine-seat Cessna Grand Caravan 208B and enjoy spectacular views during the 20-minute flight. Travaasa Hana, Maui is also offering complimentary flights for guests who book a three-night, all-inclusive Total Travaasa package.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer the town of Hana and our hotel guests a quick and affordable option for traveling to the eastern coast of Maui,” says Chris Manning, co-founder and president of Travaasa Experiential Resorts. “Our quiet location is one of the many features that make our property so unforgettable. Now, guests have a choice of experiencing the adventure and beauty of the Road to Hana by car or flying into Hana in minutes and enjoying the coastline from aloft via Mokulele Airlines. For the town, these flights give residents, government workers, and business people an efficient option to get to and from Hana.

We’re pleased to team up with Travaasa Hana, Maui in introducing scheduled air service into the beautiful Hana community,” said Ron Hansen, CEO of Mokulele Airlines. “Our departures from Kahului Airport will be an easy connect for visitors flying direct into Maui, or arriving on Maui via Honolulu International Airport. We encourage early bookings to ensure a seat.”

The morning flight will depart Kahului Airport at 11:19 a.m. and arrive at Hana Airport at 11:40 a.m. It departs Hana at 12:00 p.m. returning to Kahului at 12:21 p.m. The afternoon flight departs Kahului at 4:14 p.m. arriving in Hana at 4:35 p.m. It leaves Hana at 4:55 p.m. and arrives back in Kahului at 5:16 p.m. A restored Packard jitney operated by Travaasa Hana, Maui will meet both flights and shuttle passengers a short four-mile drive to the hotel.

Travaasa Hana, Maui is a destination resort and spa located at the end of the famous Road to Hana. This oceanfront retreat, formerly the legendary Hotel Hana-Maui, offers a robust series of programs, many of which highlight Hawaii’s rich cultural heritage. Guests enjoy activities such as throw net fishing, hula and ukulele lessons, stand-up paddle boarding, coastal horseback rides, coconut husking, morning yoga, and more. The property is a favorite retreat for travelers seeking barefoot elegance, unspoiled natural beauty and a Hawaiian sense of place.

Accommodations at Travaasa Hana, Maui consist of 47 plantation-style Sea Ranch Cottages, 23 low-rise Garden View Suites and four condos. All guestrooms feature organic linens and pampering amenities. To enjoy the comforting sounds of nature, the rooms are free from radios, clocks, Internet, and televisions. The property also includes an award-winning spa with a one-of-a-kind indoor and outdoor wellness center, and delicious dining at Kauiki Restaurant.

The AAA Four Diamond hotel was recently rated the No. 1 Hawaii hotel and No. 58 in the world in the 2011 Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards Poll. The Spa at Travaasa Hana was named the No. 1 Resort Spa in Hawaii by Conde Nast Traveler in 2012.
