tripBAM and Grasp team up to enhance travel agency automation

Solution expedites tripBAM integration; TMC clients gain with lower hotel rates and seamless data.

SAN DIEGO – tripBAM, the new hotel shopping service, is partnering with Grasp Technologies to enhance back-office automation for travel management companies (TMCs) using tripBAM to find lower hotel room rates for corporations. The solution, called Grasp-TB Sync, gives TMCs the ability to seamlessly incorporate the necessary data elements required to implement tripBAM.

tripBAM uses patent-pending “cluster” shopping processes to find savings on more than 60 percent of hotel groups searched, with average savings of more than $100 per stay. Just last month, tripBAM won the Business Travel Supplier Innovation Award at The Business Travel News Group’s inaugural Innovate Conference in New York. San Diego-based Grasp is a leading travel data solutions provider, including custom development and consultation, to corporations, travel agencies and travel technology firms.

Grasp-TB Sync has already been piloted by several TMCs, and these agencies are now in the process of fully-deploying the solution. “As tripBAM continues to deliver lower hotel rates for our clients, the Grasp solution has notably enhanced the automation we can utilize for required back-office tasks,” said Ricardo Luna, MIS Director for S.R. Travel Services. “The solution made it quick and easy to implement tripBAM, which is a vital service for our clients as we make our way through hotel RFP season.”

“We have had a number of TMCs asking us for an automated solution to send data to tripBAM,” said Steve Reynolds, founder and president of tripBAM. “Grasp has delivered an impressive piece of automation that meets the typical back-office needs of most TMCs as they process hotel bookings and accurately route data.”

“Grasp-TB Sync is an agnostic solution, offering TMCs a simple piece of automation that plugs into any back-office system,” said Grasp CEO, Erik Mueller. “The solution makes it easy for tripBAM to quickly onboard new TMC partners regardless of what travel system they use.” Half of America’s top TMCs are engaged with tripBAM today.

Under the arrangement, Grasp Technologies will own the solution and work with tripBAM and its agency clients to help with their ongoing data needs.
