Tzell Travel Group Northwest selects Travelport

Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, announces a long term agreement with Tzell Travel Group Northwest (TTGN), a leading travel management company in the Pacific Northwest. Formerly known as River City Travel, TTGN also has a successful leisure business as the owner and operator of Oregon Beach Vacations, the largest property management company on the Oregon Coast. Through the agreement, Travelport continues as TTGN’s primary travel technology partner providing access to travel content including air, hotel, car rental and cruise lines via its Apollo platform.

The agreement also provides TTGN with several strategic solutions including industry leading e-Pricing, to ensure travelers have the most advanced tools for shopping low fares and Travelport Rapid Reprice, an automated ticket repricing product.

According to Joe Murray, senior vice president, TTGN, “When it came time to source our GDS partner, Tzell Travel Group Northwest reached out to all the GDS platforms available. Our sourcing was comprised of content, fare shopping functionality, as well as other tools to increase the productivity of the agency and agents. Hands down, Apollo was the logical choice from all three major requirements in a GDS provider.”

“In addition to the technology platform, the support from their team was unsurpassed. Our relationship with Travelport will help continue to fuel the growth we are experiencing, and ensure that our customers are provided with the highest level of service and content available in the industry.”

Scott Hyden, vice president, Sales, U.S., Travelport, said, “We have a great partnership with TTGN and we are pleased to continue to deliver the functionality and technology they require to further improve efficiencies, grow and succeed.”
