W Maldives named Best Worldwide Resort Hotel at Top Award Ceremony

W Retreat & Spa Maldives is a tropical playground both above and below the Indian Ocean that’s perfect for relaxing on the white sand, playing at one of the many bars and recharging in the incredible AWAY Spa.

W Retreat & Spa, Maldives has been named the Best Worldwide Resort Hotel at the Sunday Times Travel Magazine Readers’ Awards 2012, this week in London.

The five-star resort, situated in the Maldives’ North Ari Atoll, beat stiff competition to the prestigious award, voted for by readers of the leading travel magazine for its incredible suites, infectious atmosphere and great service.

“To receive the accolade of best resort hotel in the world is a real honour. There are so many incredible resorts around and opening each year, so to receive this award in our sixth year of operation is really special,” said Peter Foreman, director of sales and marketing at W Retreat Maldives.

“We are very lucky to work in such a stunning location and to be able to wow our guests on a daily basis. The W service is something we pride ourselves in, we are there to help our guests with whatever they need, whenever they need it – nothing is too much trouble. We are pleased our guests are noticing this and we aim to continue with this high level of service in the future.”
