White Lodging announces plans for Dual-branded Hyatt Place/Hyatt House in Downtown Denver

The two properties will be White Lodging's 25th and 26th hotels in Colorado.

MERRILLVILLE, IND.- White Lodging Services announced it will construct a Hyatt Place/Hyatt House dual-branded property in downtown Denver and that it will operate the property under a franchise agreement.

“We are thrilled to be part of this exciting new development that is located just steps away from the Colorado Convention Center and Denver’s famed 16th street entertainment district,” said Deno Yiankes, president and CEO of White Lodging’s Investments and Developments division. “This project is yet another example of White Lodging’s continued focus on developing premium branded, full and select service hotels in some of our country’s most dynamic and growing urban markets.”

The property will be White Lodging’s first newly built Hyatt House, as well as its first dual-branded Hyatt property. Upon opening, it will be White Lodging’s fifth newly constructed, urban Hyatt Place.

Construction of the property is expected to start this fall with an anticipated opening in the spring of 2015. The stand-alone 21-story building will have 346 hotel rooms at the southeast corner of 14th Street and Glenarm Place.

“This dual-branded property is the first new full-scale development to hit 14th Street since the street-scape project was completed in 2012,” said John Desmond, Executive Vice President of the Downtown Denver Partnership. “This exciting new project is a testament to the downtown area’s vibrant tourism sector and an example of the ongoing benefits that result from strategic investments in the quality of our public realm.”

All 346 suites will be spacious and will feature signature Hyatt Place and Hyatt House design. All guestrooms are also equipped with a mini fridge, a 42-inch flat screen TV, and free Wi-Fi.

The hotels will be White Lodging’s 25th and 26th managed properties in the state, adding to a portfolio that includes Denver, Boulder and the surrounding communities.
