The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) Multiunit Lodging Operators & Owners Forum takes place June 27-29, 2004, at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort in Lincolnshire, Ill. This two-day event is geared exclusively to address the unique concerns and needs of management companies` senior executives and owners of multiple properties.

This year`s conference focuses on providing operators and owners with ideas, tools, and skills that are essential to managing multiple properties` daily operations. Conducted in a moderator and panelists format, topics will include sales and marketing, industry ratings, and employee retention and training. Specially geared for franchisees, a panel will also focus on distribution management and feature representatives from the InterContinental Hotels Group; JHM Hotels, Inc.; and the Remington Hotel Corporation.

An additional panel will focus on diversity and inclusion. Diversity is a Banquet, Not a Bitter Pill, supports AH&LA`s recently launched nationwide program to promote the wide range of career opportunities within the U.S. hotel industry to qualified workers who represent a broad spectrum of racial and special groups.

We`re excited about this year`s forum topics, which include marketing and diversity – two issues that are especially critical and timely with business scenarios in today`s marketplace. Through our interactive panel format, attendees are sure to be well informed and engaged. We`re dealing with information that will affect their bottom line, said Conference Chairman Kevin Hanley, executive vice president and COO of Sunburst Hospitality. I look forward to welcoming and orienting attendees as they learn new techniques to assist in their business operations and develop lasting relationships with colleagues facing the same challenges.

The Multiunit Lodging Operators & Owners Forum registration rate is $350 for members and $550 for nonmembers. Day passes for local hotel properties and management companies are also available for $150. The Lincolnshire Marriott Resort is extending a special room rate of $139. For hotel reservations, call (800) 228-9290.
