AH&LA campaign highlights member success during tough economic times

As a result of the record interest in the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s (AH&LA) guidelines released earlier this year, 10 things you should do right now to protect your bottom line, AH&LA has created the 10 Signs of Success campaign.

This new campaign features companies and properties that have achieved notable success based upon a particular tactic from the original guidelines, and shares their stories. Evaluating bottom-line driven strategies, hoteliers get an inside look at what’s working for their peers and gain new ideas for strengthening their own operations.

Highlights include The Roosevelt Hotel NYC’s recent central reservation system switch to provide customers with a more user-friendly system and an easier and faster way of loading rates and applying revenue management decisions; JW Marriott/Cherry Creek’s climb to top performer status in guest satisfaction by investing in employee training through the Educational Institute; and the Rendezvous Bed & Breakfast successful efforts to garner high level media attention.

All 10 stories are found at www.ahla.com/success, and each one describes complementary resources that can help hoteliers achieve their own success.

Furthering dialogue amongst hoteliers on strategies to grow profit, increase occupancy, and maintain employee satisfaction, AH&LA has used the Success Stories campaign as a feature on its revamped Facebook Fan Page. This new online presence allows members to leave comments and share their own successes.
