ERA plans to save airlines and airports time, cost and effort in a new event aimed at fostering relations between the two.

The Network Development Conference in Amsterdam on 12-13 May will enable airline and airport executives to develop new business opportunities or network with existing customers and suppliers on a one to one basis.

By combining a half day conference with a one day workshop dedicated entirely to networking, delegates will have the opportunity to schedule up to twelve meetings with their chosen airlines or airports. Requests for meetings can be made in advance through ERA and a meeting schedule produced for each participant. A Networking Dinner and additional hospitality areas will provide further business opportunities.

The preceding half-day session will focus on intra-European route development and airport-airline relationships. Chaired by Cardiff International Airport managing director, Jon Horne, the panel of specialist speakers includes Richard Leigh, director, The Route Development Company; Padraig O`Ceidigh, managing director, Aer Arann; Daniel Steffen, marketing director, Berne Airport and Jan Halliday, director of communications, Southampton Airport.

ERA director general, Mike Ambrose commented: At a time when airlines and airports face many common challenges including falling yields, pressure to reduce costs and strong competition it is important that we work together to develop and support the industry -this event is intended to assist this process.

Advance reservations are essential for the Conference and bookings are already high.
