ASTA, nSphere Inc. partner to promote travel agents in 3,400 U.S., international markets

As part of ASTA’s ongoing commitment to promoting its members to a wide audience of consumers, ASTA has partnered with nSphere Inc., a technology company that organizes local data and content for distribution to national publishers. The partnership connects consumers searching for services within more than 3,400 domestic and international markets to ASTA travel agents in their immediate area.

“This partnership exposes ASTA travel agents to an entirely new audience of highly motivated consumers who are seeking travel information and drives them to the agent’s Web site, or in the event they don’t have one, to their profile on What’s more it promotes the ASTA brand and puts the Society in front of consumers as a reputable source of travel information,” said ASTA President and Chair Chris Russo.

Using information available on, nSphere expands its data consortium of local data contributors to include listings of local ASTA travel agents. The result: consumers searching for information on planning a honeymoon are provided with expert advice from publishers such as, accompanied by a listing of travel agents in their area and other local resources. Consumers interested in learning more about a listed agent can go beyond the basic contact information and view their destination and travel specialties, Web site and association membership. Agent listings in a given area are dynamically rotated to provide all members with equal coverage.
