ABTA, the Association of British Travel Agents, reports that the retailer Cruise Control (UK) Ltd, of Stanton Gate, 49 Mawney Road, Romford, Essex, and which also traded as 21st Century Travel Club, is unable to meet its liabilities and has ceased trading yesterday (10 October 2005).

All passengers currently on cruises will not be affected and will be able to continue with their holiday. Customers who have made a booking with Cruise Control and are yet to travel should be able to go on their holidays and cruises as planned.

In the first instance, customers who have booked through Cruise Control and yet to travel should contact the cruise line or tour operator with whom they are travelling.

Clients who need further assistance should contact the ABTA Claims department on 020 7637 2444.

ABTA announced that the associated company Cruise Promotions Ltd, trading as Cruise Egypt, which has also ceased trading, is not an ABTA member but is an ATOL holder. Any enquiries or claims regarding this company should be referred to the CAA.
