ERA, EUROCONTROL and the Flight Safety Foundation host annual Safety Forum

This year’s forum will focus on safety behaviours and is an excellent opportunity to learn from professionals specialising in this important area and to explore ways to improve and promote best practice across the wide spectrum of the aviation industry.

The sixth annual Safety Forum, co-hosted by ERA, EUROCONTROL and the Flight Safety Foundation, is taking place on 29–30 May at the EUROCONTROL headquarters in Brussels.

This year’s forum will focus on safety behaviours and is an excellent opportunity to learn from professionals specialising in this important area and to explore ways to improve and promote best practice across the wide spectrum of the aviation industry.

While aviation remains an extremely safe means of transport, it is important that the industry continues to look at ways to further improve safety standards. This year’s Safety Forum, co-hosted once again by ERA (European Regions Airline Association), EUROCONTROL and the Flight Safety Foundation, will be dedicated to safety behaviours. The forum will consider industry best practice and functionality that can promote, improve, encourage and create safety behaviours, while featuring discussion on the root causes of deviations from established safety routines and exploring how to promote the development of safer and more effective procedures.

Montserrat Barriga, ERA’s Director General, comments: “The Safety Forum is an excellent opportunity to learn from international safety experts and share experiences with peers, all in one place, over the two days. ERA continuously works with EUROCONTROL, the Flight Safety Foundation, EASA and other key organisations to increase safety in all areas of European aviation and we are proud to once again co-host this important industry event.”
