GBTA and VDR to host joint conference

Reconnecting the industry in Wiesbaden, 13-15 October.

LONDON, ENGLAND – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) announce its 2021 European Conference, in partnership with VDR. The joint European Conference which will take place this year in Wiesbaden, 13-15 October, bringing together the industry from across Europe and beyond.

“VDR is delighted to be partnering with GBTA once again, to host Europe’s largest business travel conference and we look forward to working in partnership to bring the industry back together. The challenges of the entire industry are greater than ever, and we want to meet the growing need for personal knowledge transfer and networking with our event” said Hans-Ingo Biehl, VDR.

“This is great news for our industry, and I’m delighted that VDR has reaffirmed their intent to partner once again for the GBTA- VDR European Conference,” said Catherine Logan, Regional VP, Europe GBTA.

“GBTA has introduced a number of significant changes over the past six months to ensure that we have an industry association fit for purpose with influence at a regional and global level. We have introduced international representation on the Board of Directors, with the appointment of the chairs of the Europe; LATAM and Canadian Advisory Boards; we have instigated a global review of the associations by-laws and the integration of ACTE, plus the imminent conclusion of the inclusive and transparent search for the new Executive Director.”  

Added Logan, “I look forward to working with VDR, our other partners and volunteers, to deliver a conference that will provide our attendees with a new playbook, for a new world under our conference theme of Ready.Safe.Travel.”
